The Effects of Stress

The word stress is used so often in so many different circumstances it can become quite confusing to understand. The types of stress one exhibits can be narrowed down to just a few. There is physical trauma on the body, chemical trauma and emotional stress. It is the latter of these that this article is about.
I have observed that the attempt to handle emotional stress on an individual keeps no boundaries. It is present on every continent and with all peoples. Although there are literally thousands of books, supposed remedies and techniques to handle this, there is only one that I have found that truly cuts to the core of this type of stress and can zero in with laser type accuracy and that is Dianetics.
I work with hundreds of people weekly and the vast majority exhibit emotional stress factors and although every one is a bit different and the circumstances are not exactly the same they emanate from very similar situations. These stress factors always have a damaging and harmful effect on ones health. In addition I have observed that the more stress the individual is under and the more it goes unhandled, the more difficult it is for correct decisions to be made in turn creating more and more stress in some what of a downward spiral of deteriorating condition. The most amazing thing that I have realized is that L. Ron Hubbard was able to delineate the handling of this type of stress in a very simple and easy to apply format.
It is so rewarding to be able to have the right tools at your finger tips to share with people and know that you have the ability to reverse that downward spiral and give another the ability to win against the harmful effects of stress. I am sure you will agree that it is far more fun to be winning than losing.
Another observation I’ve made is that one does truly have the ability to change the world.
Have you heard the story of the guy that gets a ticket on the way to work, then yells at his assistant who in turn goes home mad and yells at her son who then walks through the house and ends up kicking the cat. . . realize it would have been a whole lot better if the guy went to his secretary’s house and kicked the cat himself.
With the right tools you can make better decisions and live a much happier, stress free life.
The better you feel, the better influence you will have on those around you and so on and so on; before you know it your old stressful life is gone and you and your loved ones are living better and happier lives.
